Biography 

Tekla Aslanishvili is an artist, essayist and curator. She was born in 1988 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2005-2009, she studied visual arts with the Fine Arts Faculty at Tbilisi State Academy of Art. In 2011-2015 she graduated from Berlin University of the Art, where she studied in Hito Steyerl’s class of New Medias. From 2011 onward she participated in several group exhibitions abroad: Digital World Symposium, Ashkal Alwan, Beirut, Lebanon 2019; Power House, film show, Pylon-Lab, Dresden, Germany 2019; VISIO – European Programme on Artists’ Moving Images, Lo schermo dell’arte Film Festival, Florence, Italy 2018; Video program, collection of Julia Stoschek, Dusseldorf, Germany 2017.
