Biography
Mariam was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1977. Since childhood she is passionate about fashion and fabrics and she is interested in different techniques of textile development.
During a trip to the Caucasus Mountains in 2003, she discovered the ancient method of felt making. This technique has become her privileged means of expression, transposing it into a current context.
Graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Tbilisi, then the School of Art and Design of Saint-Etienne, France she has been a member of the House of Artists since 2007 and works as a textile designer.
She creates tailor-made fabrics and clothes, also creates Haute Couture orders, ready to wear luxury or live shows: Christophe Josse, Christian Lacroix, Jimmy Choo, Paris Opera…
Mariam currently lives in Die, in Drôme, France.
