Biography
Lado Pochkhua was born in 1970 in Sokhumi, Georgia. In 1990-1993, he received his primary education in art at Sokhumi Art School, later in 1993-2001 he studied at Tbilisi State Academy of Art. He works in painting and graphics. Lado left Georgia in 2004, and he now lives and works in New York. Lado participates in many group and solo exhibitions in Georgia and abroad: The Book for A New Aristocracy, Tsqaltubo Art Festival, Project ArtBeat, Georgia, 2018; Discover Georgia, New York, Chelsea Market, New York, USA, 2015; Dubai Art Fair, 2014; Deliberate Simplicity, Inaugural Exhibition, Brooklyn Box Gallery, Brooklyn, New York, USA, 2013; After Affects, Chashama Art Space – Chelsea, New York, USA, 2013. In 2009, he participated in Prague Biennale; In 2008 – Gardens, Ships and Lessons, K. Petrys Ház Gallery, Budapest, Hungary.
